How did I miss this cover of "When The Stars Go Blue"? One of my favorites from RA's solo career. Anyone heard this? Any good?

They play it on the country video channels all the time. Busty's meh is about right. It's not bad, because it started with a good song and stays pretty close to the original albiet much more glossy and produced.

However, it's not an improvement on the RA version.

The Corrs have covered this one as well too. Decent enough.

Yeah! I heard this when I was back home and was kind of surprised. Heard it on the country video channel as well. It was all right.

I was surprised no one had commented on this yet. I think its fine. My airwaves are dominated by country stations, so if I am flipping through, this is usually stopped on, as being the best of the sorry lot.

I have no hatred or disrespect for McGraw. Dude does his thing, bangs Faith Hill, and fucks a bag of money every morning.

Incindentally, this one song probably quintupled Ryan's networth, enabling him to put out 176861876 in the next 5 years that you will all hate, because now someone who liked or likes Tim McGraw might know who Ryan Adams is.

I thought about that when I first heard this. Ryan will probably make more money off Mr. McGraw covering this one song of his than he has made, or will make, off any of his solo recorded output.

I'd rather hear the Corrs/Bono one because I don't like picturing McGraw naked much. The Corrs sisters, yeah. Wait, not Bono, though...

McGraw does have that whistle-through-the-teeth good old boy bit down good -- "when the shhhstarshhh go blue-ooooooo"

It's like Tim Wakefield imitating Kevin Millar doing Chris Isaak.

The vocals on the mcgraw version are pretty weak in comparison to the adams version.
