Don't worry. I'm sure Yahoo Serious has concocted some sort of anti-terrorism defence shield by now.

I think we all are to a certain extent. Getting trapped on the train underground and getting an asthma attack is one of my biggest fears. But what're you gonna do? I just get a little annoyed by people who live in "Kalamazoo" telling me how I should react to terror alerts.

:D

i am not telling you how you should react....i posted something from the bbc is all. so where you came up with that is beyond me.

btw terror alerts do affect me - i have ALOT of family that live in NY

get off your high horse...

Everyone has a right to be scared, but um, yeah the odds of getting killed in a terrorist attack are very slim when compared to many other places. and the only places where I'd be scared to live are the mid-atlantic, LA, or Atlanta. Nobody's gonna blow up Des Moines, people.

That said, if you're worried about this THEN YOU'RE LETTING THE TERRORISTS WIN. GO OUT AND BUY SOME PLANE TICKETS.

I guess because I have never lived in NYC I can't imperiously state and instantaneously assume that I have gone through more struggles, oppression, and have a greater resolve than someone living in Michigan or Virginia.

I'll point out to you two lovebirds that one of the 9/11 planes crashed in Virginia (the Pentagon), the other was headed for D.C. but was shot down over Pennsylvania.

Yes, I do find it tasteless to make a movie about 9/11 only 5 years after it happened. I don't see the point.

Any more tasteless than making movies about Vietnam (where 20 times as many Americans died for no reason as did on 9/11) five years after Saigon fell? And I'm not being an ass about that--I'd like to hear your opinion one way or the other.

Oh, and Fu: Nobody on the self important East or West coasts care about those people who died in Oklahoma City--in their view, they got what they deserved for living there.

did we even have our gay little color coding system when the OK city bombing happened?

and when they're talking about the war on terror, are domestic terrorists included in that? Does columbine count as terrorism? This opens up a lot of shitty questions for me.

I'd say no on Columbine, def. yes on OK City. [conspiracy theory] also the never caught coconspirator in the OK City bombing is reputed to be a member of Iraqi Intelligence[/conspiracy theory]

Hey,

Just for the record, I used to live in Midland Michigan. We weren't that far from Kalamazoo.

Midland is Dow Chemical's World Headquarters. So if terrorists ever went after these chemical plants Kalamazoo and some of the Midwest WOULD be pretty much gone.

The chemical spills that happened in that town alone were pretty fucking scary. When my ex used to work for them and they happened the whole city used to shut down for a day or two. Depending on how bad it was.

So unless you truly know what the hell you're talking about shut the hell up Chris. NY isn't the only possible target in this country.
