...is excellent. Definitely a Corgan/Pumpkins influenced sound, but Carnavas could easily sneak into the top 5.

I'm afraid I don't hear the Pumpkins influence. Sure, his voice is a bit Corganesque, but I don't hear it in the music.

Agreed.

This has Siamese Dream dripping all over it. In a good way. Now I want to hear the whole thing.

They're on tour right now. This coming Sunday they're in Chicago at Schubas if any of you Chicago people see this thread. On Sunday will be my first time witnessing them live, but I can only expect good things.

I saw them at the Capitol Hill Block Party here in Seattle and they really suffered from the outdoor sound system. Probably a lot better in Schubas.

Sunday the 13th? Damn. I've committed to Califone at Hideout that night for my friend's birthday. I know I'll regret this decision.

so i saw them last night, and they're a tight rockin' outfit. this record doesn't break any new ground, but it does scratch an itch.

i've said this before on the board, one of my favorite local bands. and they're great live.

i still like the pikul ep better then the full length though - been looking forward to it for awhile... but just gotta give it a few more spins.

Took me a couple spins to get into this one more too... Prefer the longer "Lazy Eye", but the record really flows together. It's an album, and not just a collection of songs.

Which is good.

Still wish they did another Movies cover, though...
