I recently became a worldwide phenom too.


And I tried to go to bed last night but my cat was sprawled out in the middle of the bed in front of my pillow. So I ended up sleeping right on the edge of the bed, falling off, just so as not to disturb him. Ridiculous.

Speaking of Comets on Fire...last night while chatting up the Editors, Russell (bassist) went shopping while at Tower. He bought the new Comets on Fire.

Polly, the two kittens my wife rescued (after a co-worker saw someone throw them out a car window) woke me up at 2:55 this morning.

Don't get 8 cats if you have allergies and are a light sleeper, even if you have "sucker" emblazoned on your forehead (written in neon Sheba) and 6 of the cats were rescue cats.

OMG... (changes topic) I just remembered that I TOTALLY dreamt that I met your wife last night!!! Weird.

edit: Whoa. You guys have 8 cats!!! That she rescued? Whoa. She's my new hero. (and you too for dealing with such allergy-intensiveness)

Two of the cats got thrown from a car window. One we found starving at a park. One I found starving in the woods near the radio station. Two were shelter cats. One was from my mother's house. And the eighth was a 'free litter" kitten my daughter pleaded for. I'd like to get down to two cats, but I'm also not that tough when it comes to putting my foot down about pets.

The dogs were both shelter dogs my wife saw online.

But you go back through the years and there's been dozens of cats and dogs.

Just told that to my wife and she said "Was I cool?"

Yeah, she was cool. Totally. It was like you guys lived near someone I knew so I decided to knock on the door & say hi. She answered the door and surprizingly knew who I was. She was totally nice.... nice AND cool.

She was a cerebral, shy dork as a kid and didn't blossom into the confident yowza-woman-woman until she was a young adult, so she'd be pleased to know she was cool in the dream.

She was quite short in the dream, with long dark brown hair.

It's funny to meet people in dreams.
