Done. Will be up in about forty minutes, give or take YSI's sketchiness.

Okay, I've selected 30 Kate Bush songs and will narrow that down to 15-18 in the next day or so.

Then I'll need to recall how to make a full-mix YSI from the hard drive, since I'm techtarded and usually only send single tracks.

I'll get there.

Anyway, there will be no "Running Up That Hill" or "Wuthering Heights" on it. It'll be more along the lines of "Get Of My House" and "James And The Cold Gun" type tunes.

Finally some success with sendspace.

Here is the Cocteau Twins mix in a zip file via sendspace:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/vdz6p0

Here is the track listing (and man this was hard to get down to below 80 mins.; I'm only partially satisfied as I would have liked to have included more of the earlier, less-typical CT stuff):

Cocteau Twins: Crushed

01 Dear Heart / 02 From the Flagstones / 03 Melonella /
04 Sultitan Itan / 05 Oomingmak / 06 Aikea-Guinea / 07 Quisquose /
08 Those Eyes, That Mouth / 09 Pale Clouded White /
10 Love’s Easy Tears / 11 Crushed / 12 Persephone / 13 Ivo / 14 Beatrix /
15 Lorelei / 16 Carolyn’s Fingers / 17 Blue Bell Knowll / 18 Fotzepolitic /
19 Watchlar / 20 Bluebeard (acoustic) / 21 Eperdu

And here is the custom cover I hastily put together, because I think mixes should always have covers (hopefully it will open, it's a Word document w/ an image attached below the track listing):

http://www.sendspace.com/file/rtotnt

Hope someone enjoys this!

gotta get me some cd-rs.

my progress on the inspiral carpets mix is as follows:

i've listened to all the albums again this week :)

now i'm trying to make a mix that won't just be a rehash of the singles collection cd or the greatest hits cd.

Yeah, the previous compilations thing was a challenge for me (I don't own the "Lullabies to Violaine" comp. that came out last year so I printed off the song list and tried not to replicate).

Any Cocteau Twins comp without "Lazy Calm" is no son of mine!

(But other than that, it's great.)

I'm downloading all of these (with the exception of Can and Go-Betweens because I hate Can and the Go-Betweens weren't mp3's) but haven't listened to any yet.

I'm probably going to save them all up before I properly listen and review.

crap i'm slacking. the artists i can do this on (but i dunno if anyone would be interested):

radiohead (obviously)
massive attack
death cab
modest mouse
daft punk
chemical brothers
b. jaxx
hot chip (even though they are new and only have 2 albums, i have a shitload of remixes & b-sides that i think are better than some of their studio stuff)

so if anyone's interested, holler otherwise i quit this project. :P

I'm not complaining about such a great mix, but I do so love "Pearly Dew Drops Drop."

Hey now...there were time limits to this mix...I had to make some cuts somewhere...I cut a lot my favorite stuff in order to make this a more introductory type mix for those who aren't familiar or entirely familiar (meaning I wanted it to be mostly chronological though, as you can see, I didn't do a lot of the newer stuff) plus I wanted it to flow...sigh.

I know, I wrestled with that thinking that it would be more known than other songs -- hard to boil over 20 years worth of stuff into 80 minutes or less (I also ended up cutting Sugar Hiccup which was on Sunburst and Snowblind, the first CT I ever bought way back in high school...gawd I'm old).

Hey, there's nothing from Hit to Death on that Lips mix. Looks good otherwise, though. I love "Evil Will Prevail".

i was going to try to mix down something from zaireeka too, but didn't have time to do it proper.
