Thanks to the tireless efforts and general largesse of our own Yail Bloor, all audio content at Hip Displeasure can now be listened to immediately via streaming. No more waiting for length downloads (although you can still also d/l any PodBlast you want to keep)!

Frankly, I just want to be more like Dalen. Hopefully, this is one step in that direction. Soon, I will be crashing pr0n conventions and vacationing with people named after aquatic mammals. To dream the impossible dream...

This thread inspired me to actually go to Hip Displeasure for the first time ever. Up to this point, I'd just been ignoring the talk about it, not knowing what it was.

Okay, I still don't. It's like a communal blog or something? Isn't that the same thing as a message board?

It was FT's blog awhile back. He shelved it for awhile and then brought it back, aided by the fine contributions of some Obner folk. Check out Bloor's PodBlasts, they're a great listen.

There's something else I just ignored because I didn't know what it was.

I assumed a podcast was like a radio broadcast you could download to your iPod. But I don't have an iPod so I never paid attention any further.

So it's like a radio program that I can listen to on the net?

I'm really not computer illiterate at all; I don't know why I have such trouble grasping this.

More or less. I could explain the differences between podcasts and streaming audio radio broadcasts but you have google and shit. I'm just glad your curiosity finally got you over to the site.

Did you steam those yourself? I'm hosting a crab boil next week down here, hoping for similar results.

Yeah. We caught 'em, cooked 'em, then ate 'em.

I've been waiting to do this as well, except we can't catch them up here.
