Broke up back in '96. This is their first album since reuniting a year or two ago.

Just like with the Soul Asylum and the Lemonheads, I want to be excited about this. But I'm far too pessimistic.

it's been longer than that. they played my college at the end of 2002 or 2003, but i don't remember if they had new stuff then.

I used to like them. I remember looking forward to that 2nd release of theirs and being kind of disappointed. I still like "Found About You" and "Allison Road" quite a bit.

During my junior high alternative rock obsession phase, they were one of my favorite bands. I still own everything of theirs, including the deluxe edition of New Miserable Experience.

I actually have much higher hopes in this than I do for the SA or the Lemons. Just because Robin's more consistent than Dave and less schizo than Evan.

I've heard it and it's pleasant and tame. No much memorable on it, but nothing offensive, either.

I have a copy from early on with this cover. I've been holding on to it in hopes it may be worth something. I really doubt it is though. Must check ebay...

I got that copy too. Found it in a dollar bin (paid 25 cents actually) earlier this year.

Yeah, the used record store here has it for $4. I almost bought it just as an obsessive collector who owns everything. But I decided I really didn't need three copies of NME.

They played a July 4 festival in Itasca in 2002. They're so awesome.

Someone mentioned the Lemonheads in this thread. What's the story on that?
