I was gonna start doing a WEEKEND RECAP thread to follow up the Friday weekend threads to do the same...

Mine fell into place as written about.

Give or take 10 beers and an argument, I usually do about what I plan.

i honestly planned to do all of the above. i was sidetracked by record shopping, french toast, slampiece and urge overkill.

The man speaks the truth. The only switch up in my weekend is what type of pork I'm gonna cook first.

I have four kids (including two step kids and a newborn), two pets, a new house, AND an old house to tend to. My weekends don't change much from one to the next.

- sleep [check]
- bringing my bass in for repairs, maybe my keyboard too. [check]
- brunch [check]
- drawing [nope]
- very little social interaction... as every weekend has been really busy these days and I need a frickin break from humans (apart from my man, of course). [nope]

Tonight: going down to some free shows at the Harbourfront...[check]

Did everything except... no drawing... and as usual... I ended up throwing in a little "social interaction":

- went and saw "A Scanner Darkly" with my man & our roomie. :rockbanana:
- spent lots of time chatting with my old boss at the record shop and even more time chatting with the music store keyboard people (and drooling over the gear).
- spent the entire day walking around with my friend yesterday

Yeah, that's how I feel until the alcohol takes effect.

I pretty much did everything I said I was going to do, with the exception of getting a bike ride in on Sunday. AND my 60 mile ride on Saturday ended up being only a 51 mile ride.

I did manage to see the Walkmen and Bobby Bare, Jr. on Friday night...very worth the $5.00! I think maybe 5 people of the maybe 100 people that showed up were actually there to see the bands...sigh. Nonetheless, they both gave really outstanding performances.

I usually follow my plans, but again my schedule is either pretty structured or I have nothing to do.
I will say I rarely drink as much as I think I was going to do during the weekend and usually drink more when I just kind of randomly decided to party.

last night: fucking awesome party at my best friends place

tonight: party at my friends house, learn how to ride a bike again.

tomorrow: who knows.

sunday: watermelon festival!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thursday i really did go to my best friends awesome party, then the next morning (after 2.5 hours of sleep) i got a great bagel, and some water.

then i slept a lot during the day, rode bikes for an hour as planned, then went to this guys party, where i met a gay guy and a guy named after huckleberry finn, both nice people. then i went to my friends place and watched a retarded movie but they said "cockjuggling thunder cunt" in it which made it worth watching.

the next day, i saw dave chappelle.

yesterday i went to the watermelon festival, got 7 cds and 4 records. then got pizza and went home and slept for 3 hours.

last night i went to my friends apartment for a gathering, not really a party, and i woke up with my first hangover. i am not proud, i am rather unhappy about it. and i will not drink for a while.

alcohol is just much easier to access than pot.

oh yes, and i saw the ballad of ricky bobby today or whatever it's called. it was funny.

Tonight: Dinner at gf's workplace (The Free Friday Filet as it were), then home to watch Falcons/Patriots preseason game. Hope/pray that no one gets hurt.

Saturday: cut grass, misc. house shit, then up to Atlanta for dinner and an art show opening at Foundation One that my buddy Hassler is curating:

Sunday: Going to my nephew's first birthday party. Wire, Entourage, Lucky Louie at night.

I ate dinner at home on Saturday before I went to Atlanta. Other than that, that's what I did.

I'm fairly decent at following my "work and sleep" plans every weekend.
