I can just see my mom getting a call.

"Philly, this negro called me up in the middle of the night and called me all manner of names. And he said something about intercourse with snakes."

"Mom, that's Ray Arnold from Jurassic Park."

"Oh? Why, that was a fine-looking colored. Why would he want to yell at me?"

Maybe 'cause you call them negros, and coloreds.

A long way (backward) from Oliver Otis Howard, aren't we?

My boss and his kid who shares an office with me were doing this last week. It was driving me fucking crazy. I like Sam Jackson and the idea is funny and quite original, but after having it call more than a couple people, it got old real quick.

It would be a total flop if there wasn't this odd fascination with this film that was created by internet hype. Most people want to see this movie to actually see how bad it is, not because they really think it looks good or is interesting. I'm hoping that it is so awful that it is hilarious.

You may recall I've mentioned my mom is 79 years old, Mr. "I Have The Board Figured Out Yet Somehow Never Know When Someone's Being Facetious"

As long as we are in the same boat. I know a few people who know nothing of the internet buzz on this movie, who think it looks good.

Also, Monty, "colored" and "negro" were acceptable words when my mom was a kid. Negro College Fund, perhaps you've heard of it? National Association For The Advancement Of Colored People?

Yeah, not every old lady keeps up with what the latest words are.

It doesn't bother me when my 64 year old mother says the word "colored", but I cringed everytime my late thirtysomething/early fortysomething female coworker said the word in regards to one of our temporary workers.

Well, that's lame. He doesn't say "motherfucker" even once on there.

Hey! Just don't pull your n***** knife on me, ok? We don't need to escalate this to violence.

I guess there's an article in a recent Time Magazine where Sam says he just loves doing B- movies and playing childhood fantasy roles.

That would explain his insistence on not renaming the movie, at least.
