Gott damn, this is cool. Many thanks. I will buy this disc.

It was brought tonight in Chicago! I'm so in love with this group right now. While Autolux records, this is my new favorite live band. Now I can't wait till October for them to return, but unfortunately they won't be headlining. Regardless though, see them. Great!

Remember, this was my first time seeing them, and I loved Pikul.

I grabbed this the week it came out thanks to a glowing review on Seattleist. Best new find of the year in my opinion.

Here is a live set they did on WOXY:

I'm listening to this for the first time today. Not bad, I can def. see it getting some heavy play in the coming weeks.

Very 90's sounding. Like the good part of the 90's.

Weren't silversun pickups those early-'80s Mazda trucks that were SAKES ALIVE (SAKES ALIVE) ONLY $5995 (SAKES ALIVE!)?

I finally listened to this for the first time on the way into work this morning, and was pleasantly surprised (given the comparisons to Smashing Pumpkins, one of FT's all-time most disliked bands), especially after having to fight through the less-than-stellar opening track. Why do some bands insist on leading an album with the worst song? This seems to be a growing phenomenon.

Anyhoo, while I can hear some similarities to the Pumpkins, this is much, much better than the shrill wailings of Corgan and Co.

They did an interview and played a bunch of songs for some AOL podcast deal. The quality couldn't be much better.

like the guitars, hate the vocals

90's the new retro... this already sounds like it's trying to hard to me... would be interested in seeing them live though...

Picked this up on my honeymoon and it's really growing on me. I like the vocals and sound...the songs have been starting to stand out quite a bit more with each listen.....and i really like the first song.

I recently saw them twice when they swung through New York. They were really, really good and this album continues to age very well with me. Will likely make my top 10.
