This is a rockabilly band that has created a new album full of rockabilly, western swing, soul, country and rock & roll without an ounce of irony. These guys have cut their teeth on American music and it comes through in spades.

I can recommend this as highly as anything else so far this year.

Fantastic back catalogue to explore if you like this one.

These guys got some exposure during the whole "Swingers" (the movie) epidemic. They are good at what they do, I recall.

Were they in the movie, or just on the soundtrack?

I think maybe they just hung on to the buzz, but I would have to do an OST check to confirm that.

I have their debut album, which is really damn good, but I haven't explored further, primarily because I figured it would just be more of the same. However, I'm leaning toward picking up the new one. You really think it's that good, eh?

i have all of their albums except this new one and jumping from six to six. the whole catalog is pretty good. and they're a terrific live band.

i'd recommend swingin' west or feelin' kinda lucky to anyone who wants to investigate further. the former is, obviously, more western swing and the latter is more rockabilly.
