There's a musician, and from what I remember, a reasonably well-known one, who was seriously ill for a few years because he had swallowed one of his fillings and was poisoned by the mercury or whatever. I think they were British, and I seem to remember them being a frontman. That's all I got, but I definitely remember reading an interview where they were going on about how pissed they were that dentists put one of the most poisonous substances in our mouths. Anyone?

I thought you had to consume a pretty substantial amount of mercury to get sick. Much more than a filling, anyway.
