I'm mad that I was at work and didn't look at the NSFW thread and now its gone, so I have no context about whats really going on here.

Besides the uproar about Everybody Loves Raymond going off the air, of course.

a couple of thoughts:
a. Todd has always seemed like a real asshole to me

b. Some of the stuff we say is actually quite offensive to women yet still funny to morons like me - quite a conundrum

c. Monty's thread about jojo was a tad offensive but I think he had a legitimate point - he just got out of hand with his metaphors

d. opa has a real vendetta against Chicago I think

Yes people disagreed with it's contents, but it wasn't a direct insult to women everywhere, even I found it slightly amusing at the beginning and thought the woman to be very nasty for everything she's done.

Shelley, while I can see where you're coming from, I do also believe that the woman has done nothing to deserve respect from anyone. And I don't think you deserved any personal attacks, that's uncool.

But man, if you guys are going to take down the senator's thread then you might as well bring Monty's down with it.

I completely agree with this one. I mean, I only saw the Senator's thread towards the beginning, but it made me want to pick up a copy of the latest Spin magazine.

And I hate Spin magazine.

As mysoginistic as that thread might have gotten, it wasn't a vague vulgarity about something like Rape - which, for me, is mostly an off-topic thing (a.k.a. no real comments/discussions/ect.). Discussing what that woman might/might not have done is whatever, as long as the denizens that be at my work don't block this site like they have others where "inapropriate pictures" might pop up (friendster, myspace, ect.)...

That being said, I LOVED Richard Bey in high school (though, as a west-coaster, it was they syndication version), and I will stand behind my fight against the renaming of "The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" to the death.

And yeah, I will jump to Todd's defense, because I want you to post proof here about how he's been a real prick behind the scenes. I'm sure Todd will acquiesce to that request, and I'm sure you'll have absolutely no proof. Because you don't. The tens of people on this board who have met Todd in person know he is one of the nicest, sweetest, most altruistic guys you will ever meet. Have you ever met him in person?

Come to think of it, have you ever even heard the Hop on Pop cd beyond a few online unmastered snippets?

Hmmm...is it a coincidence that I never had a problem with Todd until this issue? So yeah, I have reasons to be annoyed by him. I made it clear to both of you that we cease referring or responding to each other's threads and both of you agreed, yet he continues to provoke me. I don't feel bad about today.

As far as meeting Todd. I'm sure I've met many more people from here in person and I dare someone who's met me to say that I wasn't pleasant or beyond friendly. Or at least entertaining...

Anyway, this is how it goes. I don't like you or Todd so keep your remarks to yourself from now on. I've kept my word until today, when Todd tried my patience.
