friday: worked, finished a bit early so i went to the nearby bar and had a couple of beers and watched the sox...ON THE CLOCK! too bad they lost.
i have no idea what i'm doing tonight, i just feel like going to sleep but i'll probably just stay in and watch the sox again.

saturday: have to work. gonna try and finish early, go home and shower, pack a few things, stop off at same bar i went to today for a beer or two and then head up to NH where my sis and her family are camping. no idea what i'm gonna do what i'm up there besides drink and enjoy the outdoors.

sunday: i'd like to sleep in but since my sister has 2 kids i doubt that'll happen. i want to try and go mountain biking somewhere up there and then do some swimming and hang out with sis and family. no idea what time i'm gonna get back to boston but hopefully it won't be too late so i can get a good night's rest.

Why the hell are you in Williamsburg? You might as well come up to Richmond...at least there's SOME things to do here.

WEDDING SHOWER!!!!

(AKA "Forced Family Fun") Hopefully I'll get some fine barware or something.
As much as I would like to meet up with the VA obners, shit don't always work out like you want.

PARENTAL INVASION ALERT!

Since Phil is gone and all, my parents want to "help" me finish packing and getting ready for the move. They are coming tomorrow and staying until we leave Chicago next weekend.

I know they mean well but I know I will end up spending the last week I have in Chicago in this apartment debating with my mother the best way to pack dishes.

They don't actually want to see or do anything while they are here. Mom, what do you want to do Saturday afternoon? "Honey, you don't have to entertain us, we don't have to do anything--we're just coming to see you!" Yeah, great. Let's sit in my apartment and do nothing for a week.

Help. No seriously, they are staying at my house for over a week.

Also, Phil is coming home in a week, by then it'll be four weeks since I've seen him and I wants my sex. Someone please kidnap my parents next Friday--Phil has this thing about parents in the same building . . . he's probably right. Shit.

At least I don't have to work this weekend.

Friday - study, BADLY needed cleaning and laundry. Worked in the afternoon. Bit more study and picked mum up from airport

Today - went shopping. Managed to get a bit lost in the twists and turns of the huge shopping centre. On the plus side the mother bought me an awesome dress, and I also got a vest on sale and a bunch of cds and dvds, including 3 seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Studying for mid-semester now

Sunday - more study. And a hockey game that, if we win, pretty much means we're in the semis, which is impressive after such a shitty start to the season

this sounds like my mother. she was here last month for 2 days and said she wanted to clean my apartment while i was at work one day. i asked, "don't you want to see some of chicago?" she said she's already seen it. (she's been here for maybe 8 days total in her life.) we went to two dinners, "wicked", and then i drove her to the airport. that was basically it. she did my laundry and cleaned my bathtub. i also had monogrammed towels when i got home from work that day. what the fuck???

Deena -- Just do it her way. I am sure that the dishes won't break ;)

AND -- if you can afford it, send em out to "nice dinner at a Chicago Steakhouse" on friday night, and have Phill tear it up ;)

<---- KNows these tricks well.

last night - going away party for a friend who's moving to china for a year.

tonight - 60's themed bachelorette party. i just raided my mom's closet and found an orange suede super micro miniskirt, which i will pair with ultra straight hair and lots of eye makeup. drink a LOT, and meet up with mr. fick and the bachelor party for a late night.

tomorrow - wallow in my hangover, try to unpack.

Sounds good, chichitta. Um, dare I ask what a menudo party is?

Today has been choice for me:
- slept in
- narrowly avoided hangover
- brunch & walk with the honey

...and now consummate laziness:
- internets
- home facials
- delivery thai food
- and a movie.

Life is goooood.
