I've chosen live or Peel Sessions versions in some instances, as sometimes they are better than the album version. Years: 1977-1980

Here's the album key:

ESS=Even Serpents Shine
OO=The Only Ones
BGG=Baby's Got a Gun
PS=Peel Sessions
BS=The Big Sleep (live album)
SV=Special View (a compilation)

1--From Here to Eternity (ESS)
2--City of Fun (OO)
3--Miles from Nowhere (ESS)
4--Another Girl, Another Planet (BS)
5--Peter and the Pets (SV)
6--Oh Lucinda (PS)
7--You've Got to Pay (ESS)
8--The Happy Pilgrim (PS)
9--The Whole of the Law (OO)
10--Lovers of Today (PS)
11--Why Don't You Kill Yourself? (PS)
12--Language Problem (BS)
13--Trouble in the World (BS)
14--Oh No (PS)
15--As My Wife Says (BS)
16--The Big Sleep (BS)

Excellent! All my Only Ones stuff is on vinyl. I'm looking forward to hearing these Peel Session versions (although I really like the versions of those songs on Baby's Got A Gun).

Thanks!

Wow, no love for BBG? "Me And My Shadow" and "Deadly Nightshade" are two of my fave Only Ones tracks. I would've added some of PP's solo stuff and entitled this one "Woke Up Sticky". Still, great to see the band get some props.

There are in fact five tracks from BGG, just not the ones you like, and not the versions from the album. I was going to include album track of "Fools" but replaced it with "Language Problem". I can't even listen to the album version of "Oh Lucinda"--it sounds so dead compared to live versions.

I've never been able to find a copy of Peter's solo album, Woke Up Sticky...

Fair enough! And, yeah, I know what you mean on Lucinda--I feel the same way about The Beast.

"Woke Up Sticky" is pretty spotty--some high points, some not so good. If you need a burn, msg me w/ an address, I can throw on my OO singles with it.

Cool, thanks. I think I will. Let me know if you want a copy of Peel Sessions or the live album, if you don't have them already.

Do you have the track "This Ain't All (It's Made out to Be)", which was the b-side with "You've got to Pay"? I have that 7", but sadly I broke it a few years ago. Remember that song being pretty good.
