Echoing most of the comments here. The Frenz Experiment and This Nation's Saving Grace are my favourites. 50,000 Fall Fans is a very good collection too.

I'm with John Peel. In his own dry, British way, he used to say "Apparently, there are people out there who don't love the Fall". I'm bewildered too why more people don't love this band.

I found this great documentary on The Fall produced by the BBC.

The Fall: The Wonderful And Frightening World Of Mark E. Smith

Unfortunately, you need to be a member to download the torrent, and registrations are hard to come by. I might be convinced to burn a few copies if enough people are interested.

nice little interview with Mark E. Smith here, where he's pissed about something or another.

<They released a singles comp, possibly called "How I Wrote Elastic Man", back in '88 or so, >

Palace Of Swords Reversed. That would be a good pickup but I think there have been bigger collections with the same material & I think you can now find a lot of those songs as bonus tracks on regular LP reissues, e g., Grotesque. I hear they finally got the CD sound right on Witch Trials. Early Years is contained in whole on some newer multi CD compilations I believe. If you like the Brix stuff I agree TWFWOTF & TNSG are good choices. Bend Sinister is another good Brix one I don't think has been mentioned yet.
