A guy I worked with went with another coworker to John Lydon's booksigning a couple of years ago here in Chicago.
He did not buy a book, but when he got to the front of the line and admitted as such, he also asked Johnny to sign something else instead --- his organ donor card --- a request which was happily accommodated.
This is one of the coolest things I have ever heard.
