Last I heard, they'se ain't gonna be any who, like myself, are taking off from work early to go down there... :P

Running a especially brutal Westside-Amoeba-back to the Westside stretch tonight... Don't know how I'm going to make it through this, but I wasn't going to miss the Mountain Goats in LA, 'specially cause the tix for the Royce Hall gig are $100 (!!!!!)...

It was good... Just John Darnielle (no Peter Hughes), and he played for about 40 min. ... solid show, good mix of new & old stuff, and he avoided the "obvious" hits from past albums. Pretty off the cuff, in general...

Saw him before he went onstage picking up the new Primal Scream album too. He signed CDs after the performance, but I was in a rush to get some shopping done before I had to leave, so no signatures for me...
