Your first problem was going to a place with 12 dollar haircuts.

Just sayin'.

As do I. Haven't been to a barber or the like in at least a decade.

maybe getting bad haircuts is an Australian thing....

most definitely. On the whole, Australian males are more "fashionable" than Americans.

Which means more people 'round here look like complete dicks. The in-thing right now is the rat's tail. All the pro footballers have it. It's cool.

you'll have to explain to me how you can say in one sentence that australians are more fashionable and in the very next state that rat tails are the in-thing.

the modern australian man is more up to date with the "trends". Ie. "metrosexual" dickheads.

Bad haircuts suck. I have a standard picture of what my hair should look like, and bring it to the barber with me.

I hate my hair too short or too long, so I am pretty fucking exacting. And if you put gel in your hair, you may as well put you balls in a jar.

One time I went to a professional salon-type place. Cost me close to a hundred dollars for a basic cut and dye and they couldn't even give me the color I really wanted.

Now I stick to the regular, cheap haircutter chain. If I'm going to hate it either way, I might as well hate it for less money.

I use the $5 bottle of hair gel that you can get from the drug store. And I've had the same one for months. I mostly just put a little in so it'll stay down. My hair's thick so otherwise it goes all fluffy and wavey. Believe me, that looks gayer.

Well said Gar.

The thing that infuriates more than anything else in this world is an advert for a hair gel called Out Of Bed "to give you that out of bed look".

Where the fuck are the people that buy this stuff sleeping? Are they levitating above the ground or something?

The key there is to look like a fucking bum without actually smelling like one.

People pay money for that. And then they slap their grandpa's driving cap over it and call it fashion.

No, my black pocket comb is like $.69 at CVS.

I do shell out for Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner, but I haven't put anything resembling gel or mousse in my hair since I was in 4th grade.

(Except the time I did my hair like Ron Wood for the Stones show 4 years ago)

My hair is my best attribute, and that gel shit'll make you go bald. Or Gay.

I'm bleaching and dying it tomorrow. I'll post an After shot then.

This is how long it was before:

Looks like they did you a favor by cutting it all off. Long hairs can't take it when their beautiful locks are shorn.

hey, i use whatever's there, and even then only a few times a week. I'm just saying it's pretty backwards to call someone gay for using hair products when you shell out that much for conditioner. s'all. Sometimes people need to manage a cowlick or something.

not that I give a shit either way.

So I bleached and dyed tonight.

If the cut was too short, the dye was too red. I'm not really happy with it at all but we'll see how I feel in a few days.

Photos to come.

Who was the genius on here that once said something along the lines of, "The only two things worth spending a lot of money on are shoes and haircuts," ?

i use some bedhead stick thing, but just cos i have hair like an asian baby.

but yeah, it's a pretty misleading name because i wouldn't venture outside sometimes with the way my hair has looked when i've just woken up.
