seconded.

(although I thought maybe you meant "messes you up" as in "trips you out", which is also a strong possibility.)

Jim Eno, drummer for Spoon (and I'm assuming you know who Brian is ;))

I am huge Eno fan, since Roxy Music days. I thought his "return to songs" last year was mediocre.

I though Spoon's last one was mediocre.

Maybe I am just in a foul mood.

And what would be so special about Jim Eno? Pretty run of the mill drummer. Not bad, but completely average from everything I've heard - suits what Spoon needs just fine. I've just never heard a single thing from him that shows any particularly outstanding skills that would make anyone say that he is somehow greater than a bonafide musical genius like Brian Eno.

Edited to add: Oh, and Spoon=boring.

What constitutes an above average drummer for you?

Let's just say that I was firmly in the minority regarding my pronounced dislike of the band Rush. The table didn't take too kindly to such pontificating on my part. Squirggle wanted to throw down, etc. It was pretty cute.

Yeah, I think too many of us went through a Rush "phase" at one point or another in our lives for someone to be able to get away with a blanket condemnation of Mssrs. Lee, Lifeson and Peart. Although they have probably fallen about 146,327 spots in my list of favorite bands from where they stood in 1982 to where they rank today.

If ever there was reason for the existence of YouTube, this is it!
