Is Dov falling down on the job here?

Today: I'm having hardwood floors put in my house so its me and these two dudes of indeterminate nationality hanging out all day. I've finally gotten a computer setup in the only room in the house that isnt either under construction or full of moved stuff from the other rooms. Its not much space. In fact I feel a little bit like I'm in jail or high school.

Saturday: Heading down to Montgomery hopefully to do some wrok on the podblast in the afternoon and then attending a fine shower for the Senator and FemGar.

Sunday: Head back up and then probably get dragged out to look at house stuff since, you know, we've changed some flooring now we need to change some other shit while we're at it. Season finale's of The Wire S3 and Entourage (I'm assuming Lucky Louie as well)

Took Monday off from work because I'm anticipating my little flooring buddies will be back.

in about 2 hours i'm gonna embark on a 7 hour drive back up to portland area to go see my girlfriend. (who lives in san luis obispo, but whatever).
its gonna be on highway 101, the pacific coast/redwood highway, which is basically the best drive in the entire world.

saturday i will be with her. sunday i will drive back here. i'm excited.

friday: picking up neato swimcap from multisport expo. dance to brit pop. rent movies.

saturday: assassins @ schubas. phil & deena's going away party. try to sleep.

sunday: holy god, it's here! 2006 chicago triathlon. try not to drown or dehydrate. eat a big carb dinner and wear my medal all f'ing day and night.

monday: lay in bed all day, resting sore body. finally cut and color hair.

- Working till 1
- Going to a Team apparel store to order our Fall softball team jerseys.
- diddle daddly with house chores remainder of day

SATURDAY
- 1pm BBQ in Jersey City
- 5pm head to deep NJ for GF's band's show. Im turning into a regular band bitch

SUNDAY
- Chill in NJ withthe GF
- Princeton Record Exchange
- Watch the Emmy's. Hoping somehow 'Scrubs' and 'The Office' win Best Comedy

fri- dinner with ladyfriend & her dad. then gimme shelter [if it doesnt rain]
sat - who the fuck knows. ride bike. rehearse. bbq for gf's fringefest show cast party. races at kissena velodrome. bike to greenpoint. many more things i wont get to do. black dice/wolf eyes. etc.
sun - that's like 2 weeks away in terms of thing to do.

Tonight: big party at my place. I think not getting shut down by the BPD would be a success.
Tomorrah: clean-up.

-the little ones/sia @ the petersen auto museum for exclusive indie 103 show. after went to the standard on sunset for the afterparty, partied like no tomorrow (sia was dj'ing).

-after: friend from ny is in town for tonight only and dj'ing at a loft party tonight. another friend from eugene is in town this weekend as well so going to meet up with them and party.

-taking day off and officially die.

Today: We got FEMJACK's social event for her company. That means softball (hopefully) or some stupid other games. I am generally not a fan of this type of event, even more so due to the conversation I had last night

I'm seriously considering picking up a mickey of vodka to nip at after they cut me off. There's no fucking way I'm doing this shit sober.

Sat/Sun: Whole lotta nothing. Grill something up, no doubt. Finally picked up that new deluxe Apocalypse Now set, so I'm finally gonna see Redux and drink a bunch of wine that we brought back from Alberta. And watch the Season Finale of Deadwood.

Tonight: Drink a bottle of Chianti and find something entertaining to do at my apartment.
Saturday: I'm going to get up early enough to watch the ESPN College Gameday Special at 10am. I have no idea what I will do for the rest of the day or evening.
Sunday: Nothing planned

Essentially I can do nothing that involves money until my girlfriend gets her financial aid deposited into her account.

Learned bad news last night which has only added to the deep funk I've already been in for about 3 months now. I really should seek help. So, my weekend will determined day by day. Though...

Tonight: Attending a surprise Killers show -- yeah, I know, not very impressed by them. But since I got invited, I'm gonna give 'em another chance.

Saturday / Sunday: Might go to Sunset Junction

I'm counting the days until the following weekend.

- Maybe get a chance to see friend from Mtl.

- My poor Senor is doing crazy night shoots all weekend... that go from, like, 6pm - 7am. So I prolly won't see much of him.

today: i'm in iowa, waiting to get my car back from the shop. i think my mom and i are going to go shopping and get massages, and tonight i'll drive back to madison.

rest of weekend: no plans at all. probably hang out, unpack, drink a little, watch movies. be annoyed about having to go back to work on monday.

tonight: going to see Persephone's Bees/Every Move a Picture
tomorrow: potentially going to Nike employee store, but more than likely I'll stay home and do housework. Need to give the dogs a bath too... ouch.
sunday: ride in the morning/afternoon, then over to friends' house for going away party for another couple who's moving mid September.

Tonight: Girlfriend comes into town and make dinner then possibly go over to a buddy's for some fierce Beirut (beer pong) action and maybe to a low key bar afterwards

Tonight - Going to see "Idlewild" w/ a buddy from work. Afterward will head back dtown to see a friend from NYC who's in town and DJing at the pub.

Sat - The Crim 10 Mile Road Race is Sat. morning and it's the one day of the year when thousands (actually, tens of thousands) of people are in downtown Flint and the place looks like a bustling city that has its shit together. Leave my crib @ 6:30 AM, get a pking spot @ the paper and enjoy the festivities until noon or so.
Night - a friend/biz associate is having a fashion show to unveil his fall/winter streetwear line before he leaves for the MAGIC fashion trade show in Vegas on Sunday.

Sun - Up early for fantasy football draft/auction, for which I am woefully unprepared. General mucking about and some writing, then Entourage finale.

going to maryland, dogsitting, hanging out with one o my cousins, and worrying like a motherfucker about my dad.

Tonight - Beer, music and watching QPR vs Ipswich Town.

Tommorow - Taking advantage of my new, FREE, train pass to London, thanks to the new job. Going to London and doing a charity shop/thrift shop run looking for old books and records.

Sunday - Going to London for the Notting Hill Carnival. Get Shitfaced, smoke some nice green and then spend the afternoon laughing like a hyena.

Monday - Bank holiday, day off work, yey. Going to St Albans Abbey to have a look around.

Tonite: Some fucking event with BJ "Raindrops" Thomas w/ Dem Party Big Wigs, et al.
Depending on how drunk I get, head back home, the future ex in laws are in town. They are cool, but you know.

Tomorrow: Await the arrival of Derris, Bloor and all other various and sundry felons for this fucking wedding shower. These things are nice (presents!) but tedious (so planned out, and all that shit) Hopefully my dad will show, and hopefully the booze will flow. I think I will wear my fine Orvis Madras Trousers.

Sunday: The future ex in laws leave, and I mong like there is no tomorrow. If I even put a pair of pants on, I am gonna be pissed.
