Just received an email with info about the new Pernice Bros. album with a link that will get you a bonus disc (only available this way) with 17 tracks of stuff. Read on:
a very special bonus CD containing 17 tracks including demo versions of every song on the album (except for Grudge, because that’s a very old song) plus weirdo alternate mixes of songs that Joe and Mike Deming thought sounded good really late at night in the studio after a long day of repeated listenings to one line of one song in search of nirvana. I’m not saying, I’m just saying. The aforementioned demos are the very same ones that Joe gave to the band prior to going into the studio. With a nod toward the great tradition of all record jackets being made in Canada, Joe made and autographed the original linocut print on the paper wallets which contain the bonus CD. His fingers are bleeding. If you don’t believe me, take a look at the video on the pre-order page. The linocut is the same one JP and L. Stein used in the design of the Live a Little cover art.
The North American deadline for ordering Live a Little with the bonus CD is September 22, 2006, 11:59 p.m. EDT. Deadlines in the rest of the world are up to them, because despite the way I sound, I’m not actually the boss of everything, and if you’re ordering from outside the US, you should check by clicking the links to the appropriate website below.
