This one's for DumpJack and Aural Fixation. Why? Because they NEED it, dammit.

Gorgeous hot Saturday afternoon = raspberry margaritas on the deck.

Work can wait.

Work, schmerk, me and bloor are working on the podblast in my office.

Topics to be broached:
Dickie Waivers
Pre-Soaks
and of course, the requisite amount of talk about jail rock

It's gorgeous here too, and I'm still on the fucking phone with Compaq setting up a service pickup.

After this, I'm settling out with a margarita myself. thanks for the suggestion, Rads.

Oh, and just to get the rambling started...

Last night at the gym, there was this short, squat, hairy bald guy - bald, but he'd grown the sides and back long - and he was covered in black body hair. Front and back. Like, if you took a pad of steel wool and pushed your thumb through it so just the tip was visible, that's what this guy looked like. And he was in the steam room wearing nothing but a pair of Speedo-style underwear. AND he kept singing some indecipherable song to himself. Somewhere, somehow, that guy has a life.

In other words: appreesh + drink up.

Raspberry margaritas sound lovely. Too bad, I don't have raspberries. This may require a trip to the store.

You're the best, Rads. Mind if I come by to share your maggies?

I just made some awesome drink in a huge pitcher

it's like a liter of vodka, 2 and a half cans of 7up(1 diet), a juicebox, herbal tea and a shitload of ice

Okay, things looking up somewhat. I'm off the phone, but lack the marg mix so I'm having a tequila sunrise. Goddamn you Don Henley, I'm gonna take it to the limit.

I used to LOVE tequila sunrises. Goes well with that stuff that make ya stay up, and late night stop-bys at girl's apartments ;)

I guess ol' Don would know about that stuff, too. Him and Stevie.

Now I feel like playing Tusk.

Whiskey does that. That's its job.

Yeah, that's why I drink it. I was asking for it by starting the night throwing back 4 Labatt Blues before all sorts of Jameson and marijuana. Had I started and stuck with Labatt 50, today would tell a different story.

(1981 continued) ...and then after passing out for a few minutes, raises up on on arm, ignoring burns, howls "Stevie's a helluva woman...hellavu woman..." Snores loudly before making mistake of singing "Songbird" to Big Jim Miller's girlfriend.

I'm not drinking either. I have a can of beer in the fridge, but that isn't worth drinking tonight.
I drank a bottle of cheap chianti last night. I probably would have bought some more alcohol tonight if my girlfriend had gotten paid friday like I did or got her financial aid deposited into her account, but since she didn't I have to save all my extra cash until she does.
I'm definitely buying beer before the Nebraska game saturday afternoon.
