I've had one beer but it did nothing for me.

Okay, that wasn't entirely true. But I've cut out drinking for the time being so I can save up for a plasma TV in time for football season. No booze will probably save me $200 a month.

Last night a drunken friend of mine picked me up and spun me around. And then we crashed. And it was on the road. I had to go to hospital this morning to get x-rays because my foot is fractured. Pineapple juice and vodka & crushed ice all night last night. Minus the crushed ice. Plus some more hot pineapple juice. Eew.

It's entirely possibly that the long version of Apocalypse Now may take the entire night to finish. So far, the addition of the pissed off French plantation folk has been worth the addition 4 hours.

i'm exhausted and half wasted. Watched a special on Alan Lomax and then actual'y got some writing done. and then watched some lightning. So far a great night.

i'm sitting on a porch in maryland, still watching the lightning and working on too much beer. I think my parents' dog might be retarded.

it's kinda weak, because the skies are overcast so you don't get to see the actual bolt. last nght we had some heat lightning, which looked much nicer.

best lightning i ever saw was a storm across the sea at night on a beach in the bahamas.

I knew a few guys that were struck by lightning. they were promptly nicknamed "Zap" and "Sparky". It was awesoem because Sparky was a camp counselor, calming down some third graders in a storm, and he calmy says "everybody calm down, the first thing we do is unplug the fans and...POW." The kids are probably still screaming, of course.
