I got to see Snowden last Saturday and they were amazing live. Has anyone else seen them?

Checked out the album after Dalen mentioned it before and I definitely dig it. Will probably order a copy at work today. I can't get enough of this shoegaze revival stuff.

Snowden = an ugly part of Montreal.


It's mean of me to say, but I kind of snickered when I saw that shortly after moving to Montreal, the Stars had written a song called "Cote-des-Neiges" named after a street in Montreal.

It seems nice, maybe romantic, as "neige" is the french word for snow... but in reality if you spend some time on the actual street, the title wouldn't conjur such romantic images (it's pretty ugly).

(I mean no harm or dis by pointing this out... the Stars are great kids + musicians... just found it funny.)

Does anybody have this on ysi or sendspace?

They're playing at Great Scott again in support of Forward Russia! in late November. I presume that means they're touring 'round then.

Anti-Anti is a good album, I wish theyd come back through Cashville, though...
