 Post subject: ZAPR! (You ALL really need to check this out!!!)

It's pretty much the best thing since Clever Cactus. Think of it as a web browser-based version of Colinswood (not DC++ required). Here's how to join the fun...

1. Go to http://www.zapr.net/signup.aspx and sign up for a free account.
2. Follow the steps e-mailed to you by ZAPR after you have signed up for your free account.

The e-mail they send you will contain a link for you to create your username and password, then will instruct you to download ZAPR and (if it isn't already on your system) .NET framework 2.0 (which is also free to download -- they provide you with the link.

Once you've done that, you're all set!

it's not working for me. it's downloaded to my desktop and i can log in, but for some reason, the two don't recognize each other.

I got no response on the 'sharing with everybody' thread. does this mean that anything you put in there will be open to everybody? that sure is the way they make it seem...or is it only people you add?

At a quick glance, it looks like it works like YSI, except you host the file on your computer. So yeah, anyone who can access the link gets to download it.

they stress that anything you share is public...to me that means you cant discriminate about who can get access, even though that doesnt make much sense

So there's no way to see who's digging around in your files, huh? That's kind of weird. Maybe we should resort to PMs for the usernames instead of just putting them in the posts, just in case this thing takes off and people go trolling for Zapr users? Or is that just totally paranoid?
