has the line-up been announced? i need to love 75% of the bands before i'll really commit.

i'll sleep on colin's floor if it doesn't cost me anything.

As to the first, for every one band you see there are seven you want to see but can't because there are like 100 bands playing at the same time the entire time. So don't worry about the lineup; just dive in the rapids and keep yr head above water.

As to the second, define "cost". ;)

Yeah, I was just checking out hotels and since I refuse to stay 10 miles away from downtown like I did this year and everything downtown is uber-expensive I think I'm gonna be pulling a Bobbo special.

Here's the thing...

Free lodging in Austin = Chuck(e)D's place.

Chuck(e)D = Putting out.

WELCOME TO THE HAREM, JASMINE!!!

Yes, true. But now Colin"s place=Deena and Phil's place too. And we won't molest you. But Colin has become adept at slipping his leash.

Okay, folks - my $.02:

Phil and Deena and I are moving into a new place this weekend, and will have two large air mattresses and a couch, a recording studio for the podcast available on site. I think that I've already promised shiv a place, but in addition to the air mattresses and the couch, people could pitch tents in the backyard or park a trailer in the driveway.

I will more than likely be playing in two bands for sxsw, and may be able to score an extra wristband if i am given one for each band that I am in.

As for the mongering - all I can do is guarantee that it will be beyond epic.

oh yeah, i have a king-sized bed, too, but what with all the trash-talking, i guess that i'll just reserve it for groupies.

no car snoozing, and the new place is even closer to downtown than my old place.

i'm going to teach deena and phil how to brew, too, so the NEW "Cherrywood Brewery" should have some fine brews available by sxsw.

We'll be 2.6 miles from 6th and red river, but i was 3.2 miles away before.

I can't believe I stumbled home that night (through some pretty rough neighborhoods, too).

Apropos of nothing, I'd like to offer a reminder that someone on the board got the benefit of my badge on the last day of the festival this year when I had to get out of town and return to the civilized world.

Just sayin'.

duly noted

the new place will be much more chad-accessible: hardwood floors, one story - if you have to stay over after too much mongering at the beer kegerator that i will be installing in the kitchen.

This is the most beautiful thing I've read all week. Simply fantastic stuff. The only way to top it is with news that you've got single gal neighbors who might prove to be curious as to whether or not "the plumbing works."

But all in due time.

How much do tickets for individual shows usually costs? I can see it adding up quickly.
