Whatever it is that's plagued the Red Sox has extended to the announcers at NESN now. Tom Caron is out, I think they said because of a death in the family and Jerry Remy was hacking during the pregame.

Anaplastic large cell lymphoma treatment almost always invoves chemo and radiotherapy, so Lester's out for a long while.

On the plus side he can legitimately be prescribed steroids during recovery phase.

shit is that his diagnosis? at least hes young, but its probably stage II at least, unless its localized to the spine/belly wherever they found it. 30% 5-year survival rate

The Red Sox were pretty much out of it, but they still are unbelievably unlucky. I saw the Lester thing earlier tonight and then saw that Papelbon got hurt in a rare victory of late for the Red Sox.
As a Cards fan, I'd complain about Mulder getting injured, with the Cards already weak in Pitching, but I can't with all the crap that has happened to the Red Sox.
