I saw him on TV only the other day with his young daughter. Sad.

I mean, yeah, sorry he died and all that, great wildlife ambassador etc, but the need to mention it after every fucking ad break, "the world is in shock", and a 6min interview with their LA correspondent to gauge the American reaction? For fucks sake, is that all they have to report on, and are we that dependent on American approval?

Ten truly is the decaf version of Fox (minus the personality)

EDIT: and they've just come back from an ad break and had a 30sec spot on it AGAIN

It isn't as bad as the time those miners were stuck down that hole. At least most people care about this. I always got the impression that Steve Irwin was more popular in America than here. But damn, did you watch Neighbours? Things are getting pretty heated.

I'm glad my kids are a little older now. When they were 4 and 5 and huge Crocodile Hunter fans, it'd have been much harder to explain to them that Stevo just got killed by a Spongebob critter.

I feel bad for his kids. Terri's been in this line of work (starting with large predators in the U.S.) most of her life and must have understood the liklihood of this happening. But Bindi and Bob probably thought their dad was indestructible.

I actually just read online that he was too close to the stingray-above him in fact-and the sting ray took it's stinger and shoved it up straight through his chest puncturing his heart.
