here is some info:

Sympathy For The Record Industry and Lumberjack Mordam Music Group have posted two tracks from Veruca Salt and the Ettes releases. Veruca Salt's latest release IV is due out September 12th, while the Ettes just released their debut full-length Shake the Dust September 1st.

fuuuuuuck this shit. Veruca Salt without Nina Gordon is like The Beatles without Paul McCartney or something similarly nutzoid. Louise Post wrote some cool shit with Nina but without her she's pretty unlistenable.

Around the height of their popularity my mom was dating the father of one of them. I think it may have been the drummer's.

She went and saw the Rolling Stones with them and said that Nina was bitchy but Louise was super sweet. Louise wrote some note to me on one of my mom's business cards because my mom told her I knew who they were.

Damn that was so long ago. In 94.

I thought they were finished. I guess I assumed their Officially Dead EP was more of a proclamation of the status of the band rather than a record title.

yeah they broke up, she got all depressed and let herself go. she should've followed mama cass' cue and choked on some food rather than soil the VS name.
