Seriously morbid shit, for sure... but you know it's gonna happen, if it hasn't already.

They were filming, you know...

And yeah, RIP Steve.
:(

How sad that you're the one to post a thread about it. I hope they never show it.

I agree.
Sad that I should post about this? Maybe. But it's a sad event. What's even sadder is that this WILL happen.
I would have no interest in seeing it.

Not trying to be sensationalistic about the thing. It's just inevitible. And you know there are folks (yes, even here) who will search it out when it is posted.

EDIT: Here's hoping that his crew loved him enough to protect, or even destroy the film instead of cashing in.

I'm suprised we haven't had a "jesus, people, everybody dies so what makes this fucker so special just because he was on TV, it's pathetic that you're upset about this" response yet.

Because someone always does that.

He was asking for it.

Is that what you were looking for, Phil?

Admit it. You were wondering it too (as was I).

Yes it's sad but I'll own up to reading the story on CNN and then looking for a link for the video of it.

Morbid curiousity.

When it finally shows up, I'll watch it. And I'll come before the stingray.

I feel bad for the crocodiles. They had their target stolen right out from under them.

I wonder how Crocodile Dundee will die.

I always find it more curious that some people are irked by grief over celebrity death than I find curious that usually-mild grief. As if those caustic cynics have some greater insight into why the rest of us shitheads do what we do and we've been found sad and lacking.

Though I always find people who presume to understand and dismiss other peoples inner motivations to be curious. Sad and lacking, too.

I'm gonna track it down and turn it into a music video for Fear's "More Beer."

I thought CD was the guy who died. I didn't care so much about it until I discovered that it was actually Irwin who died. He was irritating, but I always learned something from watching his shows. And I loved that he was such a family man.

When I was younger, I thought they were the same person. It wasn't until I saw Irwin on Letterman and discovered that Crocodile Dundee was a movie that I found out.

Still. Irwin totally ripped off CD.

How do you figure? CD was an actor. Steve Irwin was not.

I'm gonna hafta completely disagree with alongwaltz there, considering Hogan is just an actor.

Irwin was BORN at Australia Zoo and lived that life for 44 years. He was just as much a part of animal care when he was a child as Bindi Sue and Bob are now. No acting needed, though he was certainly a ham. The man was pretty remarkable. A combination of thrill addict, conservationist, family man and savvy businessman you don't see often see.

Hogan's just an actor.

I presume, after sifting through that, that you mean me by the latter bit. Pardon me, but I have an ear infection. I have sympathy for no one.

It was a generalized statement addressing the times people have said things like "you people are stupid for being upset by Celebrity X's death because there's so much REAL tragedy in every day lives. Plus it's not like you actually KNEW them."

I find it a retarded and presumptuous stance since people are capable of being affected by both close and far tragedies. One doesn't have to favor one over the other or makes approved scales of grief.

Anyway, I was agreeing with what I thought was your sarcastic reply.
Was not addressing the post to you.

Really sad and really hard to watch. It'll be hard to erase from your mind. Wish I hadn't watched it.
