Oooh. Cool. Thanks for that!

He's an artist I like enough to most likely just pick up anything new he puts out without reading reviews, but I'm glad to have your positive opinion.

I would pay good money to watch someone kick bob schneider in the crotch. Living in Austin instilled in me a healthy disgust for him.

That is not a rock name. Plus it's next to impossible for me to think of a quip incorporating "V-2 Schneider" with Pat Harrington from One Day At A Time and a politician or actor named Bob. I hate to work hard. Change your name.

Yeah bloody oath. I will never ever listen to this guy simply because of his name. I would never be able to get past it.

Yeah, I know, but I wanted people to tell me what I thought, because that site doesn't work so good for me on dial-up.

I pretty much love you for keeping a thread I knew would die quickly alive.

I really like his voice. His lyrical style reminds me of Ellis Paul, but his guitar is much more Vini Reilly-toned.

If the rest of his output is Luka Bloom-y like this, I'll dig him.

I'm rarely adverse to hearing artists if they provide a stream.

"Long Way To Get" is very sweet. "I'm Good Now" would probably be the one most people here would like. "God Is My Friend" is cute and could be a minor hit. "C'mon Baby" is the only rocker and would give people a mis-impression of the rest of the CD.

The one song I genuinely liked enough to try to download later: "Piggyback" There's a sophisti-pop mood to it that's not in the other tracks.

There's a bit of Ben Harpering going on here that will turn some people off, but overall it's a cool laid-back release which will be loved by World Cafe.

Grade: 6 of 10 (but 7 of 10 for the Triple A-NPR crowd)

His last two are good, fun all-the-way-through listens if not exactly profound.

I was under the impression that it was a reissue or rarities set, but if it's new, I'd love to hear it.

Oh, you know what... I don't know. I guess it's time to actually look up the track listing.

Yep. It looks to be new. Or, at least, songs he's preformed live for a while finally recorded.

Quote:
1. Holding In the World
2. Game Plan
3. Party At the Neighbors
4. Miss Oblivion
5. Flowerparts
6. Blauu
7. Get Up On It
8. Mix It Up
9. Superpowers
10. Everything I Have Means Nothing To Me Now
11. Boombox
12. The Californian
13. Mudhouse
14. The Sons of Ralph
