my daughter and a friend are off to nyc saturday...alone...for the first time. they seeing a show in times square and i'd like to offer them some nearby suggestions. i never eat there so i don't have a clue.

they would not enjoy places like hardrock or bullshit like that. simple, inexpensive asian or indian would work which may be tough to find there. don't know. they need something close so they don't have to venture too far and can make their train home.

ideas?

Carmines on 44th and Broadway......There is always a long wait unless you get there around 4pm or so..

There's a Lunch Boy not far from there--43rd or 44th and 6th, near the Hippodrome.

Little Brazil is just north of T-Square--awesome lunch buffets.

theres also a thai place next door to my old building at 123 west 44th bet broadway and 6th.. same side of the street as toys r us, thats good...
