lotsa good records out there, but this one just doesnt get old at all.

I was gonna post that one, but now that it's been mentioned I'll throw out:

Frank Black Fast Man, Raider Man

Both of these are worthy contenders for my top spots as well. 'Gravity's Gone' will probably be my song of the year.

It's not the end of the world if you just say "this is my favorite album of the year so far" and it changes or you realise ten minutes later there's one you kind of maybe might like more.

Make a fucking decision. I put "just" in the thread title for a reason.

:x

then i guess i'll go with

Built To Spill - You in Reverse

Yes. Top 5 song of 2006, without a doubt.

I haven't been completely blown away by anything this year. I have a feeling that when I finally hear TVOTR, I will be impressed. Destroyer was an early favorite, as was Cat Power.
RE: M.Ward - Post-War is great...I love the guy's music, but it doesn't do it for me like Transistor Radio did last year.
Basically, I don't have a front runner as of yet. The closest two are probably Destroyer and Peter Bjorn & John.

I think the Grates might be number one for me now.

Until the Be Good Tanyas, Modest Mouse, Lemonheads, and Polyphonic Spree release their stuff. And Joanna's album is officially out.
