When I was downloading those tracks I saw all kinds of Burroughs stuff I've never heard. Cool. Will have to get more stuff.

I bought Dead City Radio exclusively for "A Thanksgiving Prayer", which I consider one of the greatest spoken word pieces ever recorded. The rest of the album is interesting enough - how far wrong can you go with that voice? - but nothing hits quite as hard as "Prayer".

Yeah, even when his spoken word pieces are just unfocused diatribes, the voice is what sells.
