So i just watched Labyrinth, and i've decided that jim henson and george lucas basically wrote this script after downing about a gallon of tea laced with LSD. The promptly sent the script to David Bowie so he could alter it slightly by adding the most ridiculously-tight pair of pants i've ever seen.

Also, just a general WTF about this flick...

I've owned it since I was 11. I always find myself staring at David Bowie's crotch when I watch it... I just can't look away. But man, how much has Jennifer Connelly changed since then.

Nothing..?
Nothing, tra la la

Silly, but fun.

I AM THE GOD OF FOAM GOBLINS, AND I BRING YOU... SAPPY LOVE SONGS!

I love the Escher fortress scenes, though.

I think I first saw it when I was in 4th grade, and I went crazy for it.

It's slightly better than The Dark Crystal simply because of Bowie. But yeah, what a strange, creepy little movie.

And the scenery is just amazing, especially that Escher scene at the end...

I thought it was a good fun kid's flick, full of a Lewis Carroll sort of absurdity. The worst parts by far were the songs.

I think I started a thread about this several months ago. Hmmm...

It was either this or Dark Crystal. Oh well.

Yeah, we own it. Josh and I bought it at christmastime with a gift card we had.

He thinks I'm nuts because I actually like a couple of the songs in it.

I'm not sure if I actually like the songs, or if it's just that I have them memorized due to repeated watches as a kid.

I like the songs. They're like if Gorgio Moroder ordered Bowie around. Bad, but awesome.
