I have been trying to locate some Dead Milkmen albums (on CD, vinyl, or if need be MP3) and I was wondering if anybody can provide some leads.

I am looking for their two major label releases which i assume are long out of print....since I have not been able to find them at all.

- Soul Rotation (i had this one on tape back when I was in High School but is since long lost)
- Not Richard, But Dick

Thanks folks,

Mark

I've got both of them uploaded as M4A's. I suppose I can sendspace them.

Just make sure you find Big Lizard In My Backyard. Then worry about the others.

I had a similar request for Soul Rotation for Bloor last year... went to visit him, he gives me the original cd with artwork, I forget and leave it there, he mails it to me on his own dime.

Good album. I forgot how good.

Yeah, and then I needed it because I use the intro music to "Silly Dreams" in the podcast intro sometimes but I managed to make it work by converting the m4a to mp3 the old fashioned way.

I was like "damn, I gave little nigga that shit".

If one of you is able to post someting (via Sendspace or something similar) that would be killer.

I am pretty low tech and basic when it comes to downloading and file sharing.

just figured i'd take a dead milkmen thread opportunity to say...

up on the hilltop where the vultures perch
that's where I'm gonna build my church
ain't gonna be a priest ain't gonna be no bus
just charles nelson riley nailed to a cross

Fucked up world, we're all living in a fucked up world.

I'm a fan of this one: "Right Wing Pigeons"

The town in Georgia's got a law on the books
Says if we all got guns then we won't have crooks
Now what could make them think that way?
What could make them act that way?

They're just right wing pigeons from outer space
Sent here to destroy the human race
They don't give a damn about you or me
They just buy guns and watch TV
Let's go!

The lady in Detroit owns a can of mace
Got pissed at my brother so she sprayed it in his face
Now what could make her think that way?
What could make her act that way?

She's just a right wing pigeon from outer space
Sent here to destroy the human race
She don't give a damn about you or me
She just buys guns and watches TV

The man in the White House who just don't care
He starves little kids and he dyes his hair
Now what could make him think that way?
What could make him act that way?

He's just a right wing pigeon from outer space
Sent here to destroy the human race
He don't give a damn about you or me
He just buys guns and watches TV
Go!

I think I'm gonna have a revival one day, where I get my hands on all those albums like this, that I used to know so well, but haven't touched in 15+ years, and just go to town.

Can someone explain what the fuck an M4A is and how you are supposed to play it? Does it have to be converted? I am ignorant.
