Will be in Los Angeles for Nebraska-USC, I guess they are travelling everywhere Herbstreit and Co. are going to be broadcasting the game.

They were supposedly going to Knoxville, but decided to go to LA.
Nebraska is an 18.5 underdog, so I'm a little surprised by it. I would have went split sites, with LSU-Auburn being the primary game.

Is that THIS weekend? How they aren't headed to Auburn for the LSU game is beyond me. Should be an interesting crowd, and a pretty fucking huge early season match up.

LSU-Auburn is on CBS, so that also has alot to do with it.
Nebraska-USC is ABC's primetime game this week, so they need to promote it big time.
I just think it will be funny to see a ton of Nebraska's fans dominating the set.

CBS should have its own version of Game Day since they have first pick for the top SEC game of the week.

I mean, who gives a fuck about Corso and them anymore?

I don't know why they don't, they have their own NFL show. Gameday sucks anyway now that it is two hours of complete crap. They basically suck the cock of whatever team they think is going to win their big game that day. Two weeks ago it was nothing by Notre Dame, last week it was probably Ohio State, this week it will be all about Booty and Pete Carroll.

Not to defend Corso, but Herbstreit picked Miami to win it all, and I have not heard too many people making fun of him.

You're right,but, Herbstreit + college = major slim pullage.
He usually picks against LSU for some reason, but at least he makes sense and doesn't need a Bob Dole prop a la Corso and Digger Phelps.

This highlights how shitty ESPN has become or always was because I'm not sure if I was too young to realize before.

I think it has just become really shitty in the last few years. When they merged with ABC/Disney and started getting major tv contracts, they started whoring those events more than they did just covering sports and sports related news stories.
It seems like all they care about is Yankees-Red Sox, Monday Night Football, Shaq-Kobe, Tiger Woods and whoever is dominating College Football/College Basketball. That was USC and Duke recently, this year it is Notre Dame for Football.
Herbstreit broacasting ABC games now, and Tirico and Kornheiser doing NFL hasn't helped either.

Vandy is hanging with Arkansas, I hope this a sign that Nebraska will keep it closer than people think, since USC hung 50 on the Razorbacks.

This Iowa-Iowa State game is pretty good, it looks like the Hawkeyes will come on strong at the end and take it.

BTW, Gameday sucked today worse than usual. Lee Corso kept messing up people's names and Chris Fowler was a sarcastic douche the whole time. I was happy to hear Herbstreit essentially admit they should have given more coverage to LSU-Auburn, even if it wasn't on an ABC/Disney network.

Oh, and Jewels, Deleware just had a couple former players plead guilty for stealing liquid steroids from another player's home.
Here is the article: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/ ... htm?csp=34

Notre Dame is sucking it up against Michigan right now, they have turned the ball over twice and are down by a touchdown. The Wolverines are driving it again after recovering a fumble on the kickoff.
Auburn and LSU are still 0-0, I think they might go scoreless till the 3rd right now.
Oregon is beating Oklahoma by a TD, and are driving again.
Miami is ahead of Louisville 7-3 right now.

Georgia had their second straight shutout today, they might not be able to score as much against some of the SEC opponents, but they can keep any one under 14 right now.

No shit though Aunurn is about to get at least a field goal. Both these defenses are devastating.

Listened to this one on the radio. Seemed like Richt was experimenting with some different formations on offense and running the no huddle a lot which he did with David Greene a ton during these kind of games early in his career as well. Too many penalties.

The defense though is as solid as I've seen it right now. Not as many marquee names as in some years past, just some dudes who kick the dog shit out of you and then gang rape your girlfriend in the stands after the game.

Michigan scores again, 27-7 early in the 2nd Quarter.
If Quinn leads a comeback, you can give him the Heismann, other than that he is done.

Jesus. That Auburn kicker is now 1-7 in his last 8 FG attempts vs. LSU...

Any opinion on taking the under (46.5) in this FSU-Clemson game?

I just dont see them scoring that many points.

Normally, I'd say take the under, because I think FSU's offense is horrid, and they have that stout defense. Something in me, says that either FSU will take Clemson to the woodshed and put up atleast 30 by themselves or that we will see another overtime score similar to last weeks BC-Clemson game.

LSU kicks a FG with :02 left in the first half to take the lead, I almost was correct with a scoreless half prediction.
I really hope Nebraska and USC is more competitive than this ND-Michigan game.

BTW, Nebraska had a bunch of tornados last night and might have some serious weather again tonight, I hope it doesn't interrupt my viewing.

You guys must be getting OU-Oregon out there on the ABC regional game.

We've got Miami-Louisville. 10-7 Louisvile at the half.

Yeah, Oregon just kicked a FG with no time left on the clock to take a 13-6 lead. The ball hit the cross bar and barely made it through.

Do the NBC announcers wait for Notre Dame to get smoked? They seem like they almost enjoy it, I would have thought they were usually homers.

No shit. There's probably some overzealous boosters already holding his boyfriend hostage at a safehouse near Opelika.
