Last saturday I auditioned for band here in Austin, Sparkwood. Got in. Had a couple rehearsals. Influences = Queen, Jellyfish, ELO.

I'm having a good time. I lost my voice a couple weeks ago, and i still haven't gotten alot of my high register back yet so bgvs are a problem.

I'm hoping to start my own band too with chuckie d on bass and a couple of his friends that i've appropriated. Need a band name though, any suggestions?

I was batting around the idea of naming it Pet Peeves. Colin isn't sold on it.

I have few...

"Don't Look, Ethel!"
"Tex Message" (admittedly bad, I know)
"Bass Heavy"
"Fret"
"Chuckie D and The Cans of Sis"
"Phil-Colin" (SOMEBODY had to suggest it)
"The Nicotine Agers"
"The OB Gents" (a play on OB-GYN and Obner)

How about just: "Obner"?

You can use the name "The Mongers" or "Phil the Dot Head and the 3 Traditionals," but I get to play Richard Cole for said set-piece ;)

You could call yourselves "Please Daddy Don't". But only if you played country songs.

I'm partial to The Nicotine Agers, because both C-Ped and P'Aja smoke and have the spirit of teenagers.

Also, with Colin's penchant for exploring caves (both literally and OH, SO VERY FIGURATIVELY), another winner could be "The Spelunkers."

The first album should be called Riding on the Handlebars.

Not bad, but it needs an umlaut.
