Man, that sucks.

It's just sort of a disconnect, combined with dizziness and a flood of memories that may or may not have actually happened... more of a feeling associated with memories from a long time ago. But it causes disorientation, which is extremely unpleasant.

Then, there's the smell – like burning almonds.
And I start to have a panic attack, so I have to actively keep myself calm.

And yes, I called the doc.
Waiting for his return call.

When this happened last time, did they diagnose anything? How often does this happen?

It's most likely the aftermath of the surgery. They ran an EEG last time and found slightly higher likelihood of seizure (duh!).

I've been on meds for a while now and it sucks, because it makes me very tired.
The seizures happen sporadically -- not too often, maybe once every few months.

I just hope they don't have to up my meds.

Jeez, freaky stuff. My completely non-professional, but always effective advice: take it easy today, grab a seat on the couch, watch some bad TV, etc.

Hope you're feeling better now and everything is OK.

How are the driving laws in your state? When I was a medical student in Pennsylvania, people used to always get pissed if they had a seizure because it basically meant they couldn't drive for 6 months.

Famous epileptics: Socrates, Dostoevsky, Napoleon, Alfred Nobel. So, you're in good company.

Todd,
I hope you feel better and get a handle on this bugger, man.

So sorry to hear this man.

I had seizures from age 1-16 with a couple years later for no reason. They do suck.

Hope you feel better.
