i had a dream last night that cotton and i were driving from chicago to milwaukee, but all of the signs we saw were for places on the northeast extension of the pennsylvania turnpike. he was going to a party and kept saying that i could drop him off wherever, as long as he could eventually get to the party. it got late and we didn't feel like driving anymore. we stopped to sleep and two other people showed up.

they asked if we wanted to split a hotel room with them. we agreed. then we almost drowned one of the guys. he was tied up and everything in the room was put into bubble wrap, including us. the water filled the room and we kinda laughed while he tried to figure out what was happening.

i feel like i'm always bumping this thread.

ok, last night i dreamt i was in a minivan with dalen, alongwaltz, and some guy. we were supposed to drive from miami to california in three days. dalen was driving. we slept in the van on the first night. on the morning of the second day, we woke up and dalen said, "i think we should be out of florida by tonight." and i was like, "then that'll give us just one day to drive all the way across the country!" he didn't seem too worried. alongwaltz slept the entire time.

and then a completely different dream, since i woke up between them...

FT and i were in a car on the highway. he was driving and made a right turn off the highway into a mall parking lot. then he turned right again and some guy got in from the sidewalk. he drove across the street, made another right turn, and then another to put us back on the highway. then he did it all over again, except no one got into the car. he did this roughly 4 times before i said, "bob, i think eventually you need to either go straight or turn left." he agreed, then did it yet again. once we'd finally got out of the loop, we ended up at his new house. a girl, who switched between one of my coworkers and someone i see on my train commute, was there and we all watched tv. FT wanted to watch the cowboys, but everyone else wanted to watch a movie. so he said, "this would be the ideal time to set up my tivo." we set it up and then he left. i fell asleep. he came by hours later to wake me up. we walked out of the house and were suddenly in the city. the girl was in a briefcase because she didn't want anyone to know she was in the city. (what city, i have no idea.) FT and this girl went into a jewelry store to look at rings. this is about when i woke up.

FT strikes again.

I had a dream in which ayah, FT and I were having a conference call about another Obner.

That may have been a dream, but I know who the other Obner was.

sea world. i was at sea world with yail bloor and LooGAR.

the beginning of the dream is far too embarrassing, so i'm going to pick it up at the sea world part and leave it at that.

yail was in the bleachers at sea world with a pile of coors light cans around him. he laughed for the duration of the dream. i was hanging out with GAR who in my dream looked more like my ex-boyfriend jason. i asked him if he wanted to meet my parents and he said, "do i look okay?" and i realized he was wearing a tuxedo t-shirt and a pair of too tight clamdigger shorts and flip flops. i said yes and took him to meet my dad and mom.

while we were walking past the dolphin tank, we realized that a trainer had gotten her finger stuck in a dolphin's blowhole and was in danger of drowning. yail kept laughing, i just stood there and GAR jumped in the tank, saved the trainer and like, beat the dolphin up or something. the rest is kind of blurry. i mainly remember yail laughing throughout the dream.

i guess this is what happens when you double up on muscle relaxers before bed. GAR and yail come for a visit.

This is one of my favourite threads. Yeah, I know...I started it, but it's everyone's contribution that makes it fun to read.

Hmmmm. They must have been touring last night, because they showed up in my dream too.

Actually, they themselves didn't appear in the dream, just objects created by them. In a park there were a bunch of sculptures by Bloor--5 or 6 foot tall Coke bottles with comic faces (think Doonesbury's "Mr. Butts"), all filled with powdered laundry detergent.

And there was a mix tape created by LooGAR which was supposedly a comp of songs about Elvis, except none of them were actually about Elvis. The only two songs I can remember are Squeeze - "Up the Junction" and Blondie - "Here's Looking at You."

You sure your dream about Bloor and LooGAR didn't involve them playing for the Hershey Bears...and you being the team "trainer?"

I hope I never have an Obnerian dream. If I ever do though I'm sure as hell going to be keeping it to myself.

Especially if it involves getting tag teamed by BlooGAR en route to Sea World, right?

I read tag teamed as teabagged at first. Why?

I was sitting in the bleachers at Brookfield Zoo (local zoo) with Z sitting in front of me, my ex-husband to my left and a local musician named Michael McDermott that my ex used to book to my right. I was knitting and talking to them about music. I busted out, "Elvis Perkins is much more talented than Jon Brion. I mean, what has Jon Brion done for the music industry lately?" Z turned his back to me and started laughing. Eric said, "Now you see why I divorced her?!" and Michael slapped the knitting needles and yarn out of my hand. I started crying and trying to defend myself and then woke up.

What the fuck. I don't even like Elvis Perkins.

I had a messed up one last night.

I dreamed that pollysix came over to my parents house to tell me that she had found Tania dead in her car that morning.

Anyway, I posted a thread about it to let everyone know and Bob changed my thread title and removed my first comment and just put "go fuck yourself, joe" in the message area.

I had a dream the other with fancypants -- I don't remember it now but I think we were just hanging out, drinking.

And I had a dream the other night with Z -- we too were just kickin' it. That'll soon be a reality when Daft Punk comes into town.

aw yeah. i was looking through my ticket folder for my morrissey tickets over the weekend and came across the daft punk ticket. good times ahead...

ok, bizarro dream last night....

somehow, our very own rparis was giving a speech in downtown Portland (think Pioneer Courthouse Square). The speech was about the current administration's stance on illegal immigration, and Rod was doing a fine job, being extremely eloquent, but....

he was wearing an elf costume. Not Christmas elf costume, just a weird elf/harlequin outfit. I remember there being multi-colored squares all over the outfit, and the pointy toe shoes.

Also, even though the speech was being given in a public place, it was near those recycling bins that you see at grocery stores, that make a ton of noise and then spit out a receipt to you? There were a bevy of homeless people in attendance.

To add even more randomness, I kept seeing guys I went to highschool with roaming the crowd, and I couldn't decide if I was still in Portland or Georgia.
