... but that's not the issue...

i bought a bunch of cds last night, finally know how to burn them as mp3s, finally know how to use sendspace, am feeling generous, and am always taking music from you guys. so, here:

mojave 3 - puzzles like you

wilco - a.m.

the lucksmiths - warmer corners

a.m. is totally getting to me today. it's my favorite wilco album and it reminds me of how much fun i used to have when i was younger. and goddamn if that jeff tweedy doesn't know how to write some good lost love songs.

oh, and specifically on that lucksmiths album, check out track two, "the music next door". z first played that for me ages ago and i'm pretty sure i had to fight back the tears because it's so fucking good.

i haven't listened to the mojave 3 album yet, but i have a boner for neil halstead's solo stuff, so how bad could this be?

other discs i picked up: june of '44, the posies and matthew sweet.

(i'm pretty sure that this could've been a hip-d post. oops.)

Nice. They're really an overlooked band, if you ask me. I think they sound better as a 4-piece overall, but I still think Why That Doesn't Surprise Me is their best.
