...where there's the hip young dude (Apple) clowning on the nerdy older guy (Microsoft)? Well it'd be great see Microsoft put clips from this little video out as a commercial in response...

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... q=bloopers

As much as i love Apple, i love seeing Steve Jobs fumble even more.

The funny thing about those commercials is that people are finding John Hodgeman, the Windows guy, to be likeable, while perceiving the Apple guy as snotty and rude.

Along the same lines is the Chrysler Dr. Z commercials. 80%+ of people who were familiar with the commercials thought he was an actor, not the actual owner of the company. Chrysler finally scrapped them after sales numbers continued to dive.

Count me among them - I had no idea he wasn't an actor. And I hated him, too.

Doesn't Gates own a substantial share of Apple anyway? I thought he bailed them out in the mid to late 90's. I was pretty sure it was part of the Pirates of Silicon Valley TV movie.

I actually like those Apple commercials, and I've never used an Apple computer. Probably never will.

The Apple guy is an actor that shows up in tons of movies. Such as Dodgeball, Waiting, Accepted and a couple others I can't think of right now.

Justin Long. I think the first movie I saw him in was Jeepers Creepers.

My bf told me about the one where theres the girl whos supposed to be a "japanese camera". He liked it and thought it was smart (a mac owner). But I was all: "So the young guy is basically saying hes got an in with cute young japanese girls?".

So lame and kinda icky.

Its like Mac = virile

Ick.

Although I'm a PC girl I totally acknowledge that Macs are good. I started out using Macs, I just couldn't afford one when it came time to buy my own computer. But I've gotta say that lately they are coming off as a snoty little "club" which kinda turns me off.

Apple geeks have always been that way, 'cause they think they have something superior (when we all know they really don't )

I have a couple of Macs and PCs. The only thing that has ever made me want to fucking murder are the PCs. If they were kittens, I'd consider drowning them.

I used to use an Apple Macintosh back in grade three or so. Then my next exposure to a computer was my aunt and uncle's PC which had Windows 95. I never looked twice at a Mac again.
