I've had the weirdest dreams lately. Last night's dream was that I was playing saxophone for Huey Lewis and the News on stage, but I didn't know how to play saxophone. Then we played "The Heat is On" by Glen Frey and I nailed it, but that was it. So we postponed the show until next week so I can learn the sax. But then it turns out it was just Dane Cook posing as Huey and when he called to tell me that the gig was next Thursday I said that I didn't want to do it because I think he's lame. He didn't like that, but I just said "sorry man your comedy sucks."

The dream the night before involved me flying in an attack warplane with Tom Cruise and we shot down a renegade flying school bus because it was carrying rabid kittens that they were going to drop over Toronto.

wtf

Excellent!

Here's my weirdo dream:
I was Paul McCartney, living in a castle with a number of wildcats: lions, tigers, leopards, cougars, etc... and all of my songs were about them. However, I had to leap from picnic tabletop to picnic tabletop to get around my castle and avoid the claws and teeth of my loving cats. All the while I sang them the songs that they inspired...

i have one of those "i'm in the band, but i don't know how to play the instrument" dreams every couple months. last week i was in sonic youth and we were supposed to do an in-store, but we couldn't figure out when. so i talked with the publicist and she finally told us to be there at 1 instead of 5 or 2 or any of the other times. when we got there, they had no idea who we were. and i was like, "i don't even know what instrument i'm playing, let alone how to play it." (i don't know sonic youth apart from singles.)

and then last night, well, those dreams are rather inappropriate.

I had a dream the other night where I was playing drums with a band. As we were playing, the guitarist leaned over and accused me of "stupid playing."

Altho I agreed with him, I got up & left anyway and drove around for a while.

If I hadn't been asleep, that would have put me to sleep.
