in the star wars universe, every system within the republic uses Coruscant time to measure important dates like ages, festivals, and such. It is known that Luke is 18 years old in A New Hope, that is, 18 years old in Coruscant time, and he is also 18 years old in earth time, judging by what he looks like. Therefore Coruscant is the same size and distance from its sun as earth, because the days would be the same length, making the years the same length.

i think scientists generally think that other lifeforms that would resemble ourselves are more likely to arise on planets the same distance from the sun as earth.

so it only makes sense that all life-bearing planets in the star wars universe generally have the same year length.

That assumes that all stars are the same size... or at the very least Earth's sun and Corusant's sun.

There's that and countless other factors. The Earth spins the way it does because of what happened when the solar system was created. For a planet in another system to behave exactly like Earth it would also likely have to share similar planetary neighbors, and have the same satellites.
