things to consider: does it matter if their favorite team/athlete is playing? what about if your favorite team/athlete is playing?

Offer it to them.

That way the next time this happens, you'll be the go to guy for getting the tix.

I'm kind of torn on this issue. I see where it is proper and polite to offer it back Yet, if they weren't able to attend it originally, one should assume they can't attend the event at anytime.
I feel that if I gave up a ticket, it is no longer in my possession and is now owned by the person I gave it to.

Disagree. The chance of a date-specific scheduling conflict is pretty high, especially if they're season tickets.

Offer unless you know for sure they can't make the re-scheduled date (out of town, for example).

Jerry: I don't trust the guy. I think he regifted, then he degifted, and now he's using an upstairs invite as a springboard to a Superbowl sex romp.

they're calling for rain late in the evening, so the game should be over by then. let's hope it doesn't come to that.

I'd say give them back...but if you were really psyched about going then try and make a decent offer for them.

tough one. but i'd give them the tickets back. and if they end up going to the rescheduled game, most likely that person will take you. at least, that's what i would do.

Most Blooresque Post of the Year, not posted by Bloor.

That said, Bloor would prolly ask for face value... Or, if it came to getting half, he'd make the other dude buy the beer. All of it.
