i'm gonna have to agree with Bloor on this one. If catswilleatyou's posts are what annoy you the most about this board, you probably can't read.

I didn't cotton to catswilleatyou upon his arrival on the board -- which was triggered by one of the gone-and-forgotten Madison boarders (obviously, not chowgurt... who was the other?) -- but with time, his wit has gotten to me. He's a sharp MF, snide but not vitriolic (Fu could learn a bit from that, as well Yail, the Senator, & Chase), and I crack up due at least every third post cwey makes. He's alright in my book, then.

I hadn't even considered that until your post. This was intended to be one of those threads that I create when I'm absolutely bored, knowing it should create a fair amount of posts and discussion.

But, if I'm going to create a thread like this, I should be careful not to follow it up with a couple of pointless, random threads. I'll make a mental note now but it probably won't stick.

I'm with you on that one - but I kinda like how those threads tend to keep Promethium's posts in a containable, easily killfiled area.

I understand having a floating sports thread. I'm thinking of Damen's NHL thread during the playoffs, for example. But having a half dozen football posts every weekend is annoying as fuck.

Looks like my handbasket is gonna be in good company.

I actually only maintain four threads for football:
The Obner Bowl Projections
The Obner Pickem
The rankings thread
and now the Predictions thread

We had the Gameday thread last week due to all the big games, but that was a rarity. I don't believe there were anymore than those four that stay near the first page.

If people weren't posting in those threads though they would completely disapear. They don't, therefore people are posting in them.

While it may be annoying to you guys, it is the will of the posting democracy that is a message board.

So shove it.

there are too many football posts, but as Puma said, they're pretty damned easy to ignore.
