Our sports thread ghetto members then should rob those in the indie rock suburbs, but alas....we already have better TV's. :wink:

In all seriousness, football and TV shows are popular thread topics because they are more universally popular across the board universe.

Not to mention the fact that most of the major indie scene towns in America are also home to some major universities with top notch sports teams like Austin, Athens, Minneapolis, Madison, etc.
