A friend of mine was down there checking out the show and he had this to say about them:

Quote:
The Blue Van - Huge find here. 20 yr olds from Denmark playing Deep Purple/Kinks/Zep/Uriah Heap type sound. It would be Spinal Tap except they really mean it. Bluesy guitar solos, Bass player jumping off the top of the Hammond B3 (twice in a 45 minute set). They are playing Halloween at the Double Door.

Anyone else familiar?
Anyone else see them?
Anyone going on Halloween?
Did I miss a thread again and prove myself a lazy boarder?

Thanks!

I've got The Art Of Rolling.

Didn't really get into it. Trashy, Kinks-like at times, with cheez-o-matic keyboards. The songs aren't very good.

Don't hear the DP/Uriah HeEp connection.

I can burn you a copy, if you'd like.

No need to send a burn, Gary.

If you have the means to SendSpace or YSI a tune or something, I'd love to maybe check out a track or 2. And then I'll just buy it if I like what I hear.

Thanks, mang.

Sounds like maybe they are a band that needs to be seen live?
