so... what ya watchin'?

I just finished off Deadwood. Great show, lackluster ending. I know they're making a movie and all that but the last episode wasn't even in the same league as the three or so episodes before it.

I don't hate t.v., i just don't watch it. Wouldn't you rather do something else with that time, like play scrabble, or catch a band, or screw?

T.V. is only awesome when:
1. James Bond movies are running
2. Peanuts Holiday Specials are running
3. Anything that is vaguely like James Bond is running (24, Get Smart, MacGyver etc.)
4. Shit is getting blown up in that endearing 80's way. (A-Team, Airwolf, Hardcastle and McCormick)
5. There is eye candy.

Or Austic City Limits, Soundstage, or some awesome documentary is on PBS.

I really hate watching television, but these will always make me pause on a station:

CSI (Vegas)
Grey's Anatomy
Rescue Me
Jeopardy!
The Sopranos/Entourage (if I'm at someone else's house)
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
football/NFL films
shows that focus on polar bears or whales
dog agility competitions
pastry chef competitions
scary movies

Thank God for tivo, though. Otherwise I'd never catch any shows.

and for some reason, Everyday Italian and the Dog Whisperer.

i really thought that i had more, but i don't have an HBO show at the moment and I'm hesitating on getting one. maybe i'll catch up on the dvds of the wire next.

Nip/Tuck

Can't watch it this season. I watched about 3/4 of the first episode and then had to leave for work or something. My mom called later and while we were discussing the episode, she said something about Christian and the therapist having "backwards sex". I was like, "Well, thanks for ruining that show for me."

I only watch live sports and the news.

If I want to see a show I just buy the DVD when it comes out a la Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 5 that I bought last week.

I just realised recently that the only current television shows I actually watch are Lost and King Of The Hill.

Other than that, it's just Wheel Of Fortune, Jeopardy, the late night talk shows, wrestling, and repeats of Frasier, Futurama, and Full House.

Me, I full-on hate it.

There's only one or two shows that don't make me want to barf. And I love both of 'em:

CSI (original)
and
The Daily Show

The rest of it makes me feel kinda depressed. We also rent movies a lot. And yeah, I'd much rather be making music, making dinner, or making love.

Nip/Tuck is the worst TV show ever made.

I mostly don't watch TV, but I'm gonna borrow the season 3 DVDs of Arrested Development from my friend pretty soon.

(And, you know, I'm looking forward to Lost.)

Oh... so much for me contributing to "tv appreciation", sorry.

Well... if it means anything, I actually have "CSI, Season Premiere" written in my agenda for this evening. That show is the bomb.

I like lots of shows & movies. I watch way too much TV.. But that comes with my love of laying on my couch for hours at a time.

I'd never say I'm above TV. I dance around like a school girl when CSI comes on. It's just that prolonged exposure to most other shows could result in me going postal.

I currently only schedule time to watch Lost and Packer games but I don't have cable or TIVO, etc.

I watched the premiere of Kidnapped last night and it was boring and predictable. Trying to pull another 24... Also, Jericho seems to have minor potential but I doubt I'll keep watching.

-CSI - Miami
-CSI
-CSY NY
-Scrubs
-Everybody Hates Chris
-Boston Legal
-NFL
-This Week In Baseball
-Extreme Home Makeover
-Desperate Housewives
-Greys Anatomy (recently started watching - Why is the black doctor in the hospital?)
-Without a Trace

Gonna watch new shows:
-Shark
-Heroes
-Studio 60 (if I remember to watch it since it is on the same time as tivo gets my CSI Miami)
-Standoff (So far I have hated this one, but my wife likes it. We couldn't watch the second episode because it was about plane crashes and she is already afraid to fly since we have had kids.)
